Gale Greenhouse Project Gets Grant
Left to Right, Ruth and John Hoekwater,
Gale Principal Rudy Lubov
Graduate class of 1970, Cleopatra Alexander and members of the Chicago Botanic Garden toured The Gale Community Academy Greenhouse Project last week and apparently were very impressed with what they saw.
Cleopatra Alexander and the Botanic Garden have arranged for the Greenhouse Project to be the recipient of a grant from the Albert Pick Jr. Fund. The Pick Fund has been very active and generous with funding for Chicago Botanic Garden projects in the past according to Principal Lubov.
Principal Lubov, John Hoekwater, parents and volunteers have organized the “Friends of the Greenhouse”. This group of parents and volunteers will explore the possibilities of now expanding the scope of the Greenhouse Project, to further the education and enjoyment for the students at Gale.
