Chicago River Day
After the workday, join fellow volunteers and the general public for the Chicago River Day Festival being held at the Chicago Park District's River Park. The Chicago River Day Festival is Chicagoland's celebration of all things Chicago River. Learn about wildlife, history, recreational activities, Friends' work and other things going on along the Chicago River that have such an amazing impact upon it. Volunteers receive a free barbeque and t-shirts for their efforts. The general public can come and join in on the celebration and purchase their very own Chicago River Day t-shirt. There will also be live music and $5 canoe rides. Fun for all! The park is at 5100 N. Francisco. For more information, visit http://www.chicagoriver.org
