The tenants and owners of an apartment building at 1633-45 W. Farwell St. have resolved their differences over an alleged "stealth condominium conversion."

The 13-mile trek was too far.
When Kathy Sprattling got the call from a health clinic technician to get to an emergency room right away, she didn't have time to get from her Rogers Park home to Stroger Hospital on the city's Southwest side.
"I was in stroke territory. Kidney failure, a heart attack -- all sorts of maladies could have happened, Sprattling said. "I had to get the emergency room."
Sprattling's nightmare began the previous morning when she started to feel faint as she was opening her café on the Far North Side. During the morning rush, she passed out, almost hitting her head on a sink. When she came to, a customer rushed her to a neighborhood health clinic on Howard Street.
