Hey neighbors, I just talked to Sara Jane Knoy
of ONE to get clarification about her email of the attached
and the Ceasefire Vigil set for later tonight.
The youth was shot and is believed to be in the hospital as of Friday afternoon.

This shooting happened at about 3am Thursday morning. There are conflicting reports as to whether the Latin Kings were involved, and as to the gang affiliation or not of the youth who was shot.
If I learn more details I'll share them.

Regardless, crime conditions on Morse continue unabated.

and Rogers Park neighborhood residents for a
Cease Fire Vigil
in response to the recent shooting in the early morning hours of
Thursday, May 10, of 17-year-old Julio Hernandez in
north Rogers Park (Morse & Paulina).

At 7:00pm on Friday, May 12, 2006,
we will begin a march around the block, starting from Morse & Paulina where the shooting occurred, followed by a prayer vigil.
